Our Mission
To engineer continuous post-operative monitoring technology that unburdens veterinary teams and elevates care outcomes for every patient.
Our Vision
To build a world where veterinary teams are empowered with the tools and quality of life they deserve, and every animal receives the same standard of care we give our own family members.
Our Story
Veterinary teams are stretched thin. Clinics are so short-staffed they can’t provide overnight care, technicians carry twice the caseload of a human ICU nurse, and animals can slip through the gaps. The absence of continuous, objective monitoring leaves dogs recovering from surgery at risk between rounds.
H.A.L.O is being built to be the monitoring layer those hours deserve — giving veterinary teams a continuous, objective view of recovery, without adding to their workload.
Our Partners
From Waterloo to the clinic
H.A.L.O’s development is based out of Velocity, the University of Waterloo’s startup incubator. A small team of engineers and veterinary partners is working toward a market launch at the OVMA veterinary conference in January 2027.

Accuracy
Clinical-grade, not consumer-grade. Every sensor, alert, and data point is held to the standard of a life-or-death decision.
Compassion
Staff are patients too. We design for the burned-out technician with forty seconds between kennels.
Accessibility
Continuous monitoring shouldn’t be a luxury for ER hospitals. We build for the small, independent clinic just as seriously as the downtown ER.
