Where we are

Waterloo, ON, Canada

Who We Are

Our Mission

To engineer continuous post-operative monitoring technology that unburdens veterinary teams and elevates care outcomes for every patient.

Our Vision

To build a world where veterinary teams are empowered with the tools and quality of life they deserve, and every animal receives the same standard of care we give our own family members.

Why H.A.L.O.?

Because the riskiest hours of recovery are the quietest ones. H.A.L.O. is reusable clinic equipment, built with veterinary teams and tested in real wards — an extra set of eyes for the small, independent clinic just as much as the downtown ER.

Our Story

Dylan Ellingson

Founder and CEO

"H.A.L.O. began with loss. Two of my dogs died ten days apart, and I couldn't save them. That grief opened my eyes to what happens on the other side: clinics so short-staffed they can't provide overnight care, technicians carrying twice the caseload of a human ICU nurse, teams so stretched that animals slip through the gaps. The blind spot that took my dogs is the same one putting thousands of post-op patients at risk every night. So I'm building H.A.L.O. to be the monitoring layer those hours deserve, because no one should have to know what it feels like to lose an animal that should have made it."

Our value

What We Value

Three commitments shape every sensor, alert, and design decision we make.

Our value

What We Value

Three commitments shape every sensor, alert, and design decision we make.

Accuracy

Clinical-grade, not consumer-grade. Every sensor, alert, and data point is held to the standard of a life-or-death decision.

Compassion

Staff are patients too. We design for the burned-out technician with forty seconds between kennels.

Accessibility

Continuous monitoring shouldn’t be a luxury for ER hospitals. We build for the small, independent clinic just as seriously as the downtown ER.
